Reviews:

Rhetorical Review: This production is impressive in so many ways: this is a small cast and almost every member of the cast and crew are wearing multiple hats and doing a phenomenal job at each one. The production’s commitment to crafting an intimate, yet disturbing experience pays off, with each element working together to trap the audience in Annie’s world alongside Paul. The fact that audiences are capped at twenty people ensure the immersive experience of this basement setting will not be lost with too many watching. This adaptation not only delivers chills but also explores deeper themes of control, obsession, and survival. It’s a must-see for fans of King’s work or anyone seeking an evening of spine-tingling theatre. Full Review

Rachel Reviews: As a theatre critic and patron of the arts I am always looking for new and exciting productions I can experience. Such is the case with the latest from Immigrant’s Daughter and Lil Poppet Productions and their staging of the play Misery. It is unlike anything I have ever been a part of before, and definitely one of the theatrical highlights of 2024. Full Review

The Utah Review: Baker and Stroud command every iota of our attention throughout the riveting 95-minute theatrical adventure. The most exceptional element of their performance comes in how they have shaped their respective character personalities without flattening them as cardboard monster caricatures. Full Review
