Founding Member
David currently lives in Salt Lake City, Utah where he has worked as a theatre professional at Pioneer Theatre Company, Plan-B Theatre Company, Salt Lake Acting Company, and the Great Salt Lake Fringe Festival. Prior to Utah, David lived in Chicago where his credits include performing and directing with The Second City, Stage 773, The Playground Theatre, and Chicago Dramatists. In Florida, David worked at all three major theme parks, Mad Cow Theatre and Orlando Family Stages. Other professional credits: Nebraska Repertory Theatre, Oak Park Festival Theatre, and Hallmark Pictures.
David is a proud member of Actors’ Equity Association, the union for professional actors and stage managers and IATSE, the International Alliance of Theatrical Stage Employees (Local 99). Morag Shepherd is the Artistic Director of Sackerson, and is thrilled to be joining Lil Poppet Productions as their Resident Artist. Morag is a proud member of the Plan-B writers lab, where her play MY BROTHER WAS A VAMPIRE, and NOT ONE DROP (David Ross Fetzer grant recipient) have performed.
Recent writing credits include THE BIG QUIET, which performed to sold out audiences with Pygmalion Theatre Company; WORSHIP—
with Immigrant’s Daughter Theatre and the Utah Arts Alliance (The Utah Review top moment of 2023); her play DO YOU WANT TO SEE ME NAKED (Critics Choice Award, and Best Solo Performance) has performed in Salt Lake City, Tucson, and The United Solo Festival in New York City. Morag’s site-specific play, CHERRY WINE IN PAPER CUPS performed outside the Salt Lake City library summer 2020, and her immersive play, A BRIEF WALTZ IN A LITTLE ROOM performed throughout 2019 in The Urban Arts Gallery (The Utah Review top ten moments of 2019).
Favorite directing credits include MISERY (winner of the Hart Awards—Best Play, Best Director), THE BEAUTY QUEEN OF LEENANE by Martin McDonagh, MELANCHOLY PLAY by Sarah Ruhl, BODY AWARENESS by Annie Baker, LET THE RIGHT ONE IN by Jack Thorne, and ROLE PLAY by Ariana Farber.

MORAG SHEPHERD

Stephanie is a director, actor, and educator living in Salt Lake City, UT.
Salt Lake City credits include Small Box with a Revolver by Dustin Hageland, The Great Salt Lake Fringe Festival (DK Theatricals), Worship by Morag Shepherd and Dreamers by Ariana Farber (Immigrant’s Daughter), Medea (Classical Greek Theatre Festival), The Realistic Joneses (Wasatch Theatre Company with support from Lil Poppet), In Your Dreams (Sackerson Co.), Misery (Lil Poppet and Immigrant’s Daughter) and My Brother Was a Vampire by Morag Shepherd (Lil Poppet and Immigrant’s Daughter at The Great Salt Lake Fringe and Edinburgh Fringe Festival).
Stephanie was a founding member of Mortar Theater Company in Chicago, where she also served as Casting Director and Movement Director. As an actor and director, Stephanie has worked with such Chicago companies as Mortar Theater Company, Saltbox Collective, Pegasus Players, Chicago Dramatists, Something Marvelous, Steppenwolf, Victory Gardens, Profiles, and Second City. Stephanie is a proud member of the Stage Directors and Choreographers Society, Actors' Equity, and American Theater Movement Educators. Stephanie is an Alum of Lincoln Center Director's Lab and Chicago Director's Lab.
